Week 4 Part A

Target Markets:

Armstrong Garden

People interested in an easy, no hassle way to plan and execute a home garden.  A lot of it is geared toward beginners.

Rancho Vista Nursery

Targeted toward succulent lovers.

Differences between the websites:

Armstrong garden is very sleek and modern, and goes for an ease of access interface.  Their funnels are set up well, and calls to action clearly defined.

Rancho Vista nursery is a very dated design, and is only information based.  There is no way to conduct transactions with the company online, and they have not well executed on the advantages and opportunities that ecommerce provides.

How they sell their services.

Armstrong garden sells it's services online, in shop, and it looks like you can also talk to their salespeople over the phone/email.

Rancho Vista advertises people come to their store location to pick out and purchase succulents.  They offer delivery on their larger succulent trees.

Is there any overlap between their target markets?

Yes, since succulents are a part of many decorative gardens.  I think that it looks like Armstrong would more than likely be a reseller of Rancho Valley Nursery plants, as well as plants from several other nurseries.
