Week 5 Part A

I have probably set up at least 10 Facebook pages in the past, and have in depth experience with targeting  Facebook advertising campaigns.  I got locked out of my last Facebook business page because I made a mistake in Facebook business manager and had to rebuild my personal brand page a month or two ago.  That's ok though, I am primarily focusing on YouTube right now anyway.  I used this as an opportunity to change my cover image and update my description as per your recommendations.

I currently have around 700 followers on my Facebook Page.  This assignment actually inspired me to start posting to my page again.  I had stopped due to Facebook being so stingy with their organic reach for my posts...  They really want me to hit that boost button.  But I have just realized since I am making videos for YouTube anyway, I might as well be sharing them on Facebook too.  It isn't too much additional effort, and I have a chance of going viral.  I can also promote my YouTube channel on those posts.

Businesses similar to mine:

1.  Les Brown

Les is a speaker.  He has almost 1.5 Million followers and posts several times a day.  It seems to me that he is getting some decent exposure on the platform with several hundred, to a few thousand engagements per post.  I wonder if he is boosting his posts, or the video algorithm may be similar on Facebook than it is on YouTube.  I am going to start posting all of my videos and see if I build any traction that way.

Yes, his page seems to be set up correctly, and he is using a good call to action toward his speaking course.  He must be doing something right, I found myself on his sales page the other day and considered purchasing it.  It is 300/per month of membership though and that is currently outside of my budget.  I need that money to blast YouTube ads right now.

Les seems to be nailing it on Facebook right now...  Has me thinking I should be doing more livestreams, that seems to be getting a lot of exposure for him.

2.  Tony Robbins

Tony is a author, speaker, and probably the worlds best known life coach.  I saw him in Conner McGregor's corner not too long ago.  He has 4.2 Million followers.  He posts 1-2 times per day, and consistently gains thousands of engagements.  His page is set up in accordance with best practice, and has great call to actions to get people to his products.

He recently launched his virtual Unleash The Power Within seminar campaign by starting a free course in a Facebook group.  I think it must have been the biggest, most engaged Facebook group in history.  I can't imagine anyone else has done it bigger than he did.

3.  Stefan James

Stefan is an internet entrepreneur and successful YouTuber.  His business is built around his website, projectlifemastery.com where he sells courses on how to start different types of online businesses.

He has almost 142k followers on Facebook.  It looks like he averages posting around twice per week, varying between sharing his YouTube videos, uploading videos to his Facebook playlist, and affiliate links.  His page is set up utilizing best practices, and his calls to action are well defined.

I think that he could probably improve his engagement and selling his products better if he did livestreams, but I know he makes most of his money through investments now so I don't know if doing livestreams are the most effective use of his time at this point.

Upon reviewing these three pages, there are a few different things that I think I can do to improve my results.

1.  I can do livestreams.  This is something that I have considered doing for a while, but haven't yet.  I can easily use OBS studio to broadcast to Facebook and YouTube at the same time, and the only thing stopping me was...  I guess getting to the point where I feel confident with making videos again...  And I am certainly there so why not?

2.  I can post the videos that I make on YouTube to Facebook as well and foster growing an audience there as well.  It is a high-impact, low investment power move that I can measure the results of in a couple of months.  I can make subscribe to my YouTube, or follow my Facebook page Call to actions at this phase since I'm not interested in selling anything until I have grown larger.

3.  I can eventually promote my products and products that I believe with with this platform.  I like Stefan's strategy, and can see myself doing something similar when the time is right.
